Photography, Filming and Recording at our Events

The CISI has photographs taken and has film/video and/or audio recordings made of a number of its events for use on our website, for promotional publicity and for other purposes in printed and digital media including online CPD opportunities, newsletters and publications, which may be seen throughout the world. Whilst attendees and audiences at events are not normally the focus of these photos or recordings, we reserve the right to capture both photographs and audio visual from all of our events. If you attend our events after a booking has been made for you using our standard booking conditions or you accept an invitation from us, you will be regarded as having accepted this and to have agreed that we may make use of any rights attaching to any images or recordings for the purposes set out above. Should you wish to discuss your participation at an event please contact the Events team in advance of the event at events@cisi.org or speak with the on-site team on the day.

Where the focus of the photography or recordings is of individuals or small groups, we will always try to obtain those individuals' consent to use of their image or recordings of them. Where we have not been able to obtain consent from the individuals involved, for example, because we do not have names or contact details of the relevant individuals, we will use such images or recordings with general descriptions only (eg. pictured left to right are attendees at the CISI Annual Conference). We will not use information, such as names, unless we have obtained your written consent.

For further information please contact marketing@cisi.org

External CISI TV Providers

As part of our commitment to provide as broad content as possible CISI wishes to recommend alternative sources of online CPD to our members via CISI TV. The CISI TV External Providers Policy outlines our verification and approval process for this content.

Please note: The content on CISI TV is not recorded for the purpose of replacing professional advice and no responsibility is taken if used in this capacity.

Travel Disruption

In the event of predicted widespread travel disruption (such as tube strikes or adverse weather conditions) we will keep attendees informed of decisions regarding the cancellation/continuation of the event. When it is possible the disruption will not occur, we will reserve our decision until we have certainty of the impact. We reserve the right to continue with an event if disruption occurs, particularly if a seminar is being filmed for CISI TV. Should we continue despite travel disruption and many delegates are unable to attend they will not be charged the non-attendance fee.

Where possible, fee-based events will continue as planned and delegates should make alternative travel arrangements. If fee-based events are rescheduled, our normal Terms and Conditions will apply. Delegates will be contacted first by email when the threat arises, and again once a decision is made. The Events team can be contacted via email at events@cisi.org for further information.
